The Department of ECE was established in the academic year 2002-03 with an intake of 60 and the intake increased to 90 in 2004, 120 in 2005, 180 in 2012 and 240 in 2015-16. The Department is accredited by NBA from 2008. This department started Post Graduation (Embedded Systems) course with an intake of 18 in 2012 and currently running with 24 seats. The department of ECE is equipped with established labs, excellent infrastructure and well qualified staff from various reputed universities and institutions.
The labs are well equipped with latest hardware equipments like Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, RF Generators and licensed software including Zybo (VLSI) Boards, MATLAB, XILINX (Vivado), Code Composer Studio, Visual spice etc., which form the basis and provide the right platform to carry out research work.
The faculty members try to connect with the students and facilitate guidance and help whenever required. The policy of the teaching staff is “MAKE DO” by the students rather than making them sitting babes.
Apart from the regular academic work, the department always strives for excellence by bringing out innovative and creative talents of the students by way of organizing seminars, expert lectures and workshops, industry visits etc.
